COD Import Rejects & Errors Report
If any of the awards or disbursements in the COD Response or COD Web Response file are rejected by COD or if there is an error during the import process, a rejects and errors report will be created. While all this information is in the results report, the rejects and errors report provides only the rejects and errors, listed by disbursement, for ease of review.
To view the rejects and errors report from a COD import process, complete the following steps:
Navigate to COD Import within Import/Export.
- Select Import/Export in the top navigation bar to open the Import/Export menu along the left side of the page.
- Expand the Federal Award Processing (COD) option in the left navigation menu and select Import.
View the task level results.
- Select Results Reports in the COD Import header.
- A list of all results reports is displayed along with some report details:
Date: The date and time the process was run.
Created By: Who ran the process.
File Name: If a file was created by the process, its name is listed here.
File Type: Identifies the type of data in the file.
Award Year: The award year associated with the data in the report.
Result: Indicates if it was successfully imported, posted, or neither.
Message: Explains a reason for why an import was not successful.
Report: Once you’ve identified the report you wish to view, select Rejects & Errors in this column of that row.
Review the individual student details.
- Identify the report for which you wish to view student details and select Rejects & Errors in that row.
For each reject processed from the response file or error encountered during import, the report contains either message that the import process was interrupted, or the following reject information:
- Student details
- Award type and amount
- COD response for the award and the associated error code description
- Disbursement number, COD disbursement response, and associated error code description
- If the import process was interrupted for one or more records, go to the COD Import Dashboard, find the record, and post again from there.
- For COD response and disbursement response errors, more information on the errors can be found in the student record on the Federal Loans page or in the COD Technical Reference.
Tip: There are many customization options available within tables in PowerFAIDS so you can use and organize the data to your liking. This includes rearranging the columns, searching the table, filtering the data, and exporting the table. For more information, see Working with Tables.
