Federal Award Processing (COD) Import Dashboard
The COD Import dashboard is used to import a single file or multiple files at once. The types of files commonly imported to COD include Multiple Reporting Records (MRR), Response Files, and School Account Statements (SAS).
Using PowerFAIDS to import COD response files provides:
-
Ability to stay in compliance with the Department of Education: Using COD import, you can import response files indicating the processing status, including any rejected data elements and the reason for the rejection. Furthermore, you're able to import other files needed for federal processing, including PLUS applications, master promissory notes (MPN), credit status checks for PLUS loans, TEACH agreement to serve, and both entrance and exit counseling.
-
Opportunities to reconcile any conflicting student awards: Using School Account Statements (SAS), you're able to import data to use in reconciliation. Similarly, you can use Multiple Reporting Records (MRR) to be notified of possible overaward or concurrent enrollment situations that may arise for a student, so that the affected awards can be reviewed for any necessary adjustments.
Navigating the Federal Award Processing (COD) Import Dashboard
The COD Import dashboard has two main sections:
-
The COD Import header: Used to view Results Reports and start the Import process.
-
The Search and Post section: Used to search COD responses imported and not matched to a student record using various criteria, such as the file type, student information, or date. Responses can be posted directly from the results.
Note: For users of previous versions of PowerFAIDS, this feature was previously known as the Staging Table.
