Importing Fund Data

To import fund information in the Import/Export module, complete the following steps:

Outside of PowerFAIDS, create an Excel file using the correct file layout. For more information on what to include and access to a sample file, review Fund Import File Layout.

Caution: When generating a file, be sure to choose the CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) (*csv) format and not the generic CSV (Comma delimited) (*csv) format, or you may receive an error message stating that the file is not valid.

  1. Select Import/Export in the top navigation bar to open the Import/Export menu along the left side of the page.
  2. Expand the Historical Data option in the left navigation menu and select Fund Import.
  1. In the file selector, select the Upload icon upload button to open your device's file manager.

  2. Choose the fund import file you wish to upload from the file manager and select Open. A note will appear in the Status column letting you know that file scanning is in progress. Once the security scan is complete, this message will disappear and a green success message will let you know that the file upload process completed successfully.
  1. Select the file you just uploaded from the file selector.
  2. Select Import.

    A success message is displayed in the upper right portion of the page letting you know the file has been imported.

    Any successfully created funds included in the file will now be available in System Administration > Packaging > Funds and ready to add to student records.
