Fund Import File Layout

The Fund Import is used to batch import funds from external information systems. This is a helpful way to setup your funds without having to individually create them in PowerFAIDS.

Caution: When generating a file, be sure to choose the CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) (*csv) format and not the generic CSV (Comma delimited) (*csv) format, or you may receive an error message stating that the file is not valid.

Tip: Once you've imported your funds, the system will display whether each fund was Created or Not Created. If the fund is Not Created, you need to revisit your file and ensure that the file layout is correct. The most common reason a fund is Not Created is because there is an error in the file layout. For example, a fund won't be created if the file is missing a required field, such as 'Disbursable' or 'Display Sequence.'
