Phase 2: Setup

The setup phase consists of six College Board led 2-week cycles that cover different PowerFAIDS features. Each cycle contains the following activities:

  • Training session: An on demand training session that will overview the cycle features and contents, and provide training for completing the cycle-specific topics. After the training, users will be given directions for accessing additional prepared eLearning and training resources.

  • Q&A session: An opportunity to join the PowerFAIDS team to ask questions arising from the training sessions and learn from questions fellow schools are asking.

  • Individual help session: If needed, you are encouraged to schedule one-on-one time with a member of your PowerFAIDS Migration team to address cycle-specific issues related to your PowerFAIDS setup. These sessions will be school specific.

  • End of cycle review: You and your Migration Specialist will review cycle-specific configurations in your system. If the session is slated as a Testing/Validation session, you and your migration lead will create testing scenarios in your Sandbox environment to confirm the configurations are working as expected and as you intended.

Cycle 1: Getting Started

In this cycle, you'll set up a few different foundational elements of the system, such as your school profile and security permissions.

Cycle 2: Payment Periods and Cost of Attendance

In this cycle, you'll set up your institution's payment periods, including their associated cost of attendance information.

Cycle 3: Requirements

In this cycle, you'll set up your institution's student requirements.

Cycle 4: Funds

In this cycle, you'll set up your institution's funds.

Cycle 5: Packaging Formulas

In this cycle, you'll set up your institution's packaging formulas.

Cycle 6: Communication Templates

In this cycle, you'll set up your institution's communication templates.
