Uploading a File

While you can upload from the File Manager, typically you'll be uploading files within specific import work flows. Uploading a file to the File Manager does not directly include the option to import any of the included data into PowerFAIDS; it only makes the file itself available.

To upload a file directly to the File Manager, complete the following steps:

1. Navigate to File Manager within Import/Export.

1. Select Import/Export in the top navigation bar to open the Import/Export menu along the left side of the page.
2. Select File Manager.

1. Navigate to the Import folder to select and upload your student files.

1. Select Imports and open the appropriate folder based on the file type.

   Tip: If you're not sure which folder to upload the file to within the File Manager, consider using the import feature for the associated workflow. By doing this, your files will be automatically placed in the correct folder.

2. Select the Upload icon and navigate to the local copy of the appropriate file to select it for upload. A message is displayed in the upper right portion of the page indicating that the file upload has started. When the process completes the file will become available to select.
