Copying an Academic Year

To create a copy of an academic year, complete the following steps:

  1. Select System Administration in the top navigation bar to open the System Administration menu along the left side of the page.
  2. Expand the Campus Information options in the left navigation menu and select Academic Years.
  1. From the Academic Years list, select the academic year you want to copy.
  2. From the Tools menu in the upper right of the Academic Years header, select Create Copy.
  1. The Name field will default to “Copy of <name of academic year being copied>”. If you want to update this name, you can delete the default value and replace it with the desired name.
  2. From the Award Year list, select the appropriate award year to associate with this academic year. Once saved, this value can no longer be updated.

Caution: Be sure to update the associated award year before saving; once the copy is created, the award year can no longer be updated.

A success message is displayed in the upper right portion of the page letting you know the academic year has been created.

Once created, you'll see the academic year in the Academic Years list. Select it from the list to make any necessary edits to the parameters you previously set in the copied academic year.
