Copying a Packaging Formula

To create a copy of a packaging formula, complete the following steps:

  1. Select System Administration in the top navigation bar to open the System Administration menu along the left side of the page.
  2. Expand the Packaging options in the left navigation menu and select Packaging Formulas.
  1. From the Packaging Formulas list, select the packaging formula you want to copy.
  2. From the Tools menu in the upper right of the Packaging Formulas header, select Create Copy.
  1. The Name field will default to “Copy of <name of packaging formula being copied>”. If you want to update this name, you can delete the default value and replace it with the desired name.
  2. From the Award Year list, select the appropriate award year to associate with this packaging formula. Once saved, this value can no longer be updated.
  3. Update the packaging sequence to the sequence order you want to use for the new formula.

Caution: Be sure to update the associated award year before saving; once the copy is created, the award year can no longer be updated.

A success message is displayed in the upper right portion of the page letting you know the packaging formula has been created.

Once created, you'll see the packaging formula in the Packaging Formulas list. Select it from the list to make any necessary edits to the parameters you previously set in the copied packaging formula, such as the Fund Setup details for the formula.
