Deactivating an API User Account

To deactivate an API user account, complete the following steps:

  1. Select System Administration in the top navigation bar to open the System Administration menu along the left side of the page.
  2. Expand the Security options in the left navigation menu and select API Users.
  1. Select the More Actions more actions menumenu in the Actions column of the table.

  2. Select Deactivate / Activate from the list.
  3. After the page refreshes, you should see the user status change from Active to Inactive.

The same steps listed in Step 2 can also be used to change inactive accounts back to active. Accounts can automatically become inactive if the associated password expires; in that case you will need to update the password before you will be able to successfully reactivate the account.
