Creating an API User

To add a user to the API Users list, complete the following steps:

  1. Select System Administration in the top navigation bar to open the System Administration menu along the left side of the page.
  2. Expand the Security options in the left navigation menu and select API Users.
  1. Select the Add New User button above the user table to open the Create API User window.
  2. Select an existing PowerFAIDS user from the Notification Recipient list to tie to the new API user account. The contact information for that user will be used for any notifications related to interactions with the API.
  3. Enter a username, and create a password that fulfills the requirements listed below the fields.

    Caution: Depending on your browser settings, your PowerFAIDS username and password may default into the username and password fields. We recommend creating separate credentials for your API user account.

    Tip: This password will need to be updated every ninety days. You will receive a reminder on the eightieth day to reset your password.

A success message is displayed in the upper right portion of the page letting you know the user has been created.

Once you've successfully created a new API user account, you will see it as a row on the users list. From the More Actions more actions menu menu in the Actions column, you can update the following information:
