Copying a Requirement

To create a copy of a requirement, complete the following steps:

  1. Select System Administration in the top navigation bar to open the System Administration menu along the left side of the page.
  2. Expand the Communications options in the left navigation menu and select Requirements.
  1. From the Requirements list, select the requirement you want to copy.
  2. From the Tools menu in the upper right of the Requirements header, select Create Copy.
  1. The Name field will default to “Copy of <name of requirement being copied>”. If you want to update this name, you can delete the default value and replace it with the desired name.
  2. If the requirement is award year specific, set the associated option to On.
  3. From the Award Year list, select the appropriate award year to associate with this requirement. Once saved, this value can no longer be updated.

Caution: Be sure to update the associated award year before saving; once the copy is created, the award year can no longer be updated.

A success message is displayed in the upper right portion of the page letting you know the requirement has been created.

Once created, you'll see the requirement in the Requirements list. Select it from the list to make any necessary edits to the parameters you previously set in the copied requirement.
