This is the template category.
The following options are available:

| College Financing Plan | This category is used for communication templates that follow the Federal College Financing Plan standard for financial aid offer notifications. The Federal College Financing Plan standard was formerly known as the Financial Aid Shopping Sheet. |
| Disbursement Notification | This category is used for communication templates that notify the student of disbursements. |
| Financial Aid Offer | This category is used for communication templates that satisfy the notification requirement for the aid package. When a communication is sent to a student using this template type, the Notification Requirement Completed field is set to Yes by the system. |
| Other | This category is used for any communication templates that do not correspond to one of the other listed types, or that you do not want to trigger any automated system processes. |
| Outstanding Requirements | This category is used for communication templates that notify the student of outstanding requirements. |
| R2T4 Post Withdrawal Disbursement | This category is used for communication templates that are used in the federal Return to Title IV (R2T4) process. This field supports future functionality that is not yet enabled. |
| R2T4 Return of Funds | This category is used for communication templates that are used in the federal Return to Title IV (R2T4) process. This field supports future functionality that is not yet enabled. |
