Copying a Student Portal Important Information Notice
Copying an existing important information notice can be an efficient way to create a new one with minor changes.To create a copy of an important information notice, complete the following steps:
- If needed, update the Important Information name and Type.
- The Name field will default to “Copy of <name of Important Information being copied>”. If you want to update this name, you can delete the default value and replace it with the desired name.
- From the Type list, select the appropriate type to associate with this Important Information.
Once saved, this value can no longer be updated.
Tip: One important information can be used across multiple pages of the same type. For example, you could use the same important information associated with awards pages across three different academic years.
- Select Create.
A success message is displayed in the upper right portion of the page letting you know the important information has been created.
- Edit the important information as needed.
Once created, you'll see the important information in the Important Information list. Select it from the list to make any necessary edits to the parameters you previously set in the copied important information.
